Rock Climbing

August 5, 2019

Today we went rock climbing. Watching others climb before me was really  scary, and I felt like I was never going to be ready to climb it myself. I decided to just go for it. It was really difficult but not as scary as I had expected. I felt that I was getting really tired, really fast. There was a point where I stopped for about five minutes because I didn’t know where to go. There was one way I could go, but I tried to go there and got terrified of falling. I took a few deep breaths and tried it again. After that, the climb felt really easy. Getting down was scary at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly. When I got down, I could feel myself shaking. I looked back up and realized what I had just done, and I was so incredibly proud of myself. I never thought I could have done that, and doing it made me feel accomplished and ecstatic. I’m so glad I did that.
