Dear P-CREW,
Thank you for the experience of a lifetime. Thank you for teaching me about the importance of forestry in preserving the environment and its natural beauty. Thank you for giving me valuable work experience and for showing me how to build burn biles, water bars, lop manzanita, and wack at tree roots with a pulaski. Thank you for the true friends I made, and for the sense of family within our crew. These people are like brothers and sisters to me. Thank you for teaching me how to poop in the woods and actually enjoy it. Thank you for endless PB&J tortillas that kept me full throughout the day and awesome toppings to spice up our morning oatmeal. Oh and thanks for the two free water bottles and the t-shirt! Thank you for the beautiful sunrise hike that I will remember forever – waking up at 3 am has never been so worth it! Thank you for teaching me positivity (PMA forever!) and gratitude for things I once took for granted. Thank you for helping me love the outdoors more than I ever thought I could (bugs in my tent are still kind of scary, though). Thank you for teaching me to be selfless – always help others with their chores before kicking back and relaxing! I am leaving P-CREW a better and happier person than when I arrived. I have learned to appreciate the environment on a whole new level, live in the moment, and connect with people from completely different backgrounds. P-CREW, thank you for the gifts of knowledge, experience, friendship, personal growth, beautiful memories, self-awareness, and self-love. I hope we will meet again soon, in less smokey and virus-y times.
Love,
Ari
