Dear future P-CREW member,
P-CREW is a really unique, challenging experience and I hope you can make the most of it! To be honest with you my first few weeks really sucked and I regretted signing up, but now I’ve made it to the end and I am sure going to miss this because I really made a family here and had so many fun times.
My main piece of advice would be to open up and really be yourself as much as you can. I would also really recommend sharing your personal story. It’s kind of scary but you don’t get opportunities to just talk about yourself and let people get to know you in the same way otherwise. It feels so good after and you feel closer to your crew. Talk to people as much as you can too!
You’ve probably been told a hundred times to step out of your comfort zone but I would also say to make sure you still take time for yourself and do relax a bit instead of overwhelming yourself. Getting dirty and uncomfortable is something that will happen but push yourself and remember that everyone else is in the same position.
The only other thing I can really think of is to have fun! I know it’s cheesy but what you put in will be what you get out so try to enjoy it. I know it can be hard and frustrating but you will get through it as a crew.
